Cawthron laboratory services at Level 2
Cawthron’s testing facilities are fully operational now that we are at Level 2. We’re pleased to have been able to support our customers over what has been a difficult time for many organisations, helping you to continue to provide important products and services to New Zealand.
Below is an update on how we're operating at Level 2:
- We continue to ensure strict, high standards of hygiene, physical distancing and contact tracing protocols are in place.
- Couriers advise they are still experiencing ongoing delays with package delivery. Unfortunately, we are unable to follow up on the location of samples in the courier system on behalf of our customers as we are fully engaged in testing. Please be aware if you are sending samples which are time or temperature sensitive, they may not arrive in the required condition for testing if there are delivery delays. Please contact your courier provider to find out more about their capacity.
- As of this week (Monday 18 May), we are pleased to be able to offer our standard turnaround times for our analyses. We’re working hard to return to our full service within the next two weeks, but for now we are still unable to offer urgent testing.
- Our Sample Reception is open during Alert Level 2, however we are still maintaining strict distancing with customers to protect our frontline staff. If you are dropping off a sample for testing, please feel free to drop the sample off in the outdoor sample box and ring the white bell.
Finally, we’d like to say thank you to all of our customers for your understanding and patience over the past several weeks. We’d also like to acknowledge our Cawthron staff who have continued to provide our essential laboratory services during Alert Level 3 and 4.
