Introducing Cawthron Institute Analytical Science Group
We are announcing an exciting change of business name from Analytical Services to Analytical Science Group, to better reflect our leading analytical science capability.
Group Manager Nico van Loon has been with the organisation for 18 years and has led its development from a contract laboratory to an organisation that delivers world-class analytical science that benefits New Zealand industry.
“The new business name, Analytical Science Group, describes our expertise and the depth of what we offer our clients. While we continue to perform reliable and timely testing services, we’ve experienced years of growth and diversification, meaning our people are now known for applying quality, fit-for-purpose solutions that support the development and export of high value functional foods, pharma, and nutraceutical products.”
“Whether we’re developing and trialling tests used by clients for food safety and certification or delivering novel Government-funded Marsden research for New Zealand’s long-term benefit, Analytical Science is at the heart of what we do,” said Mr van Loon.
Looking ahead, Cawthron Analytical Science is focused on identifying and implementing new technology including PCR testing, metabolomics, and robotics. The team is also fully engaged with emerging global food safety and certification testing trends.
Cawthron Analytical Science Business Development Manager, Augusta van Wijk, said the new name highlights the Group’s core business; combining accredited analytical testing, client-centric research, and market insight to produce solutions and outcomes that fulfil client requirements.
“It’s excellent to now have the full range of our capability and depth of knowledge better reflected in our business name. While we may have a new name, clients and partners can be assured our highly skilled Chemistry, Microbiology, Natural Toxins, and Research and Development teams remain as focused as ever on delivering quality, reliable analytical science.
“Now is a good time for businesses to invest in research and development. Rising demand for evidence-based health-promoting products and Government support for R&D, means working with us at Analytical Science to unlock greater potential from food, pharma, and nutraceutical products has never been so attractive,” said Ms van Wijk.
The name change is effective from 21 Feb 2019. Contacting the Cawthron Analytical Science Group after this date is business as usual.
