Cawthron is hosting a Panel Discussion for Seaweek 2016
20 February 2016

'Healthy Seas, Healthy People' – Seaweek Panel Discussion

As part of Seaweek 2016 Cawthron Institute will present a lively panel discussion exploring our relationship with the sea, including our impacts, responsibilities and opportunities.

This public event is a chance to hear more about the role of science in understanding our oceans, how science can help us manage our oceans, and how we can all make a positive contribution.

The discussion will be chaired by Cawthron scientist Nick King and features three of Cawthron's leading scientists. It includes audience interaction and a Q & A session.

"We owe our existence to the oceans. They sustain us and our planet, their health is our health," Mr King says. "We'll be discussing how science can not only help us understand the ocean, but also help ensure our oceans thrive."
